MISSION STATEMENT

To foster a strong sense of community among residents in the area of Machado School by getting to know each other and working together on common goals that will improve the quality of life in our neighborhood and beyond.
GOALS

Enable the creation of special interest teams to develop and implement action plans to increase safety in our neighborhood, to mobilize resources in case of disaster or emergency situations, to generally improve the quality of life in our neighborhood and beyond, and to create social opportunities for all residents to get to know each other better.

ACTION PLAN
  • Establish a team to address neighborhood response to disasters and emergencies including fire, earthquake and other threats.

  • Establish a team to identify ways to raise awareness of and enhance everyday safety in our area.

  • Create teams to develop social activities as a way to foster community spirit within our group.

  • Provide a forum for group and individuals to initiate other teams as wanted or needed.

  • Develop a group database with contact and other information pertinent to mobilizing resources when needed.

  • Develop a communication plan to ensure all residents are able to receive group communications.

  • As part of the plan, develop a website as a means to communicate both within our group and to share our vision with the global community.
